The Colonia Verde neighborhood is a development of 169 homes, some single dwellings and others townhouses. They are built in a modified Santa Fe design, and surrounded by desert landscaping. The area exhibits a quiet serenity although very close to two major arteries. Amenities include a spacious clubhouse, two swimming pools (one of which is heated) and saunas for men and for women. Paved walking paths wind extensively through the development. Low-key lighting illuminates the neighborhood at night while avoiding glare. As is common, this neighborhood is subject to conditions, covenants, and restrictions (CC&Rs) in order to maintain the quality and appearance of the area. A board is elected from the residents to administer the CC&Rs. A full-time resident manager insures that landscaping is kept up, that all facilities are in repair, and assists residents with problems.
